1. Grant of License
HairStorm is licensed, not sold. Subject to your use of an active license tier (Free, Personal, Professional, or Studio) and compliance with these terms, HairStorm grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install, activate, and use the software on your designated workstation.
2. Plan Tiers & Machine Activation Limits
Each paid license authorizes activation on one (1) physical workstation at a time via cryptographic hardware fingerprint binding. You may transfer your license to a new workstation by releasing or deactivating your active seat through the HairStorm Customer Portal.
- Free: lifetime free tier on 1 machine with 2K bake limit.
- Personal: 1 workstation 1-year license (non-recurring, no auto-renew) for individual creators, UV card layouts, and strand meshes.
- Professional: 1 workstation 1-year license (non-recurring, no auto-renew) with full 3D grooming tools and all supported mesh exports.
- Studio: 1 workstation 1-year license (non-recurring, no auto-renew) with priority support for commercial production pipelines.
3. Commercial Use & Ownership of Output Assets
You retain 100% intellectual property ownership of all hair meshes, textures, grooms, 3D models, and project files (.hairstorm) created using HairStorm. Assets exported under any active tier (Free, Personal, Professional, or Studio) may be freely incorporated into commercial video games, films, animations, and virtual productions without royalties, subject to that tier's documented feature limits.
4. Restrictions & Anti-Tamper
You agree not to: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive the source code of HairStorm; (b) modify, bypass, or defeat the license validation, cryptographic signature verification, or anti-tamper subsystems; (c) redistribute, rent, lease, or resell license keys; or (d) use automated bots or key generators.
5. Updates & Term
Each paid license grants access for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. Paid licenses do not automatically renew and do not carry recurring subscription fees. Users receive all feature updates, bug fixes, and performance improvements during their active 1-year term, and may re-buy a new license at any time upon expiration.
6. Termination
This agreement remains effective until terminated. Your license terminates automatically if you fail to comply with any term herein, or upon a completed refund or payment chargeback. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the software.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
HairStorm is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall HairStorm or its developers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the software.
